IT WAS A DAY of speculation concerning the navicular bone in the right foot of 76ers center Joel Embiid. Saturday, of course, the team sent a statement that a CT scan showed that the healing in the 7-footer's foot wasn't as far along as anticipated. While a source told the Daily News Monday the organization was still gathering information from different doctors, other reports ran the gamut from Embiid needing surgery, to not needing surgery, to possibly missing the entire next season.
