The Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibet and of Buddhists around the world, will receive the 2015 Liberty Medal in Philadelphia recognition of his advocacy for human rights. His Holiness will receive the award during the 27th annual Liberty Medal award ceremony on Oct. 26 at the National Constitution Center. The Liberty Medal, established in 1988, annually honors courageous men and women who strive to secure the blessings of liberty to people around the globe.
